Use Caffeine Curve Calculator as an easy and accessible reference, and be sure to consult trained healthcare professionals if you have any specific queries relating to caffeine and its effects on your body.
The Caffeine Curve is calculated based on well known research on caffeine metabolism in humans. As drinks and food have to pass through your digestive system before being absorbed, we assume 1 hour for caffeine levels to peak in your body.
The average caffeine metabolism rate is assumed to be 4 hours in normal, healthy adults. We use a default half life of 4 hours to derive the caffeine curve. You may switch to a Fast (2 hours) or Slow (8 hours) half life to reflect your own experience with caffeine.

The exception is STIM Energy Strips which dissolve on your inner cheek, meaning caffeine absorption happens directly in the mouth without passing through the digestive system. This means STIM gives you an energy boost within seconds compared to around 1 hour for food and drinks. STIM is also the first energy strip using time release caffeine, which gives you a smoother, sustained boost without the crash and jitters. This is reflected in the curve when you select STIM as an item.
